How to hold a pen?

A pen or pencil should lie on the upper phalanx of the middle finger, fixed on top with the thumb, and on the side with the index. The ring finger and little finger should be bent inside the palm of the hand or to the base of the thumb. The grip of the handle should be such that its lower end is one and a half centimeters free, and the handle itself is tilted towards the shoulder. An index finger should be relaxed, lie free and at ease, otherwise the hand will quickly become tired. When writing, the hand should rest on the base of the wrist, the outer edge of the palm, and the little finger. As you write, you need to gradually move the edge of the palm, gently sliding on the paper, leaving the main point of support the base of the wrist.

Which pen is best to choose?

An optimal ballpoint pen is considered to have the following parameters: length - 15 cm; diameter - no more than 7 mm; section - round or triangular;

How to sit at the table when writing?

For a beautiful and correct writing, an important role is played by the following landing rules at a table or desk:

  • you need to sit with your back straight, without hunching or twisting your shoulders;

  • legs are best placed on a special stand;

  • both elbows should be on the table;

  • the distance between the edge of the table and the chest is not more than 2 cm;

  • the notebook should be positioned at an angle of 30° so that the lower left corner is oriented to the middle of the chest;

  • a head is slightly inclined forward, so that the distance from the eyes to the notebook is about 30 cm.
